‘Kikas’ secured at least fifth place in the championship after finishing the third heat of the fourth round in second place, with 11.16 points, behind Hawkman Ezekiel Lau (12.57) but ahead of American Conner Coffin (11.10).
In the quarter-finals, the Portuguese surfer will be competing in the semi-finals against Medina. The Brazilian professional surfer, best known for being the ASP surfing world champion of 2014, being the first Brazilian to win a Surf World.
