It is said that Setubal Bay attracted swimming elite with a record number of entries, including the participation of current Olympic champions!
The “FINA Marathon Swimming World Series – Setúbal 2018”, organized by the Portuguese Swimming Federation together with the Municipality of Setúbal, is an integrated competition in the FINA Open Water World Cup. This will be held next Saturday, June 9, in the Urban Park of Albarquel, Sado Estuary.
Among the athletes present will be Angélica André, Weertman Ned, Bruni Ita, Marcela Bra, Van Rouwendaal Ned, among many more!
Before this international competition, the Open Challenge is held, a promotion event open to all swimmers. The competition consists of three distances: 200 meters (09.30), 600 meters (10.00) and 1660 meters (11.00).
The OPEN CHALLENGE tests are open to all interested parties and with the following minimum ages:
200m and 600m – 10 years and older
1660m – with equal age over 14 years of age.
Tests and schedules:
200m – 09:30
600m – 10:00 p.m.
1660m – 11:00 p.m.
International World Cup: 16:00 men / 16:10 women.
